At the app Time Between Statuses add-on, you can set email notifications for issues where the time limits have been exceeded.

3. If you select +add new status group firstly should , furstof all, create status group by setting: Group name, Project, Start/Stop/Pause statuses and set time limit. In case if you have already done this or when you are editing the group status you can start setting up notifications.
You can set emails sending to notify people about issues where are overdue Warning and Critical time limits are overdue.
