The add-on allows automation of recurring tasks in Jira, assigning them and managing teamwork. But what if you need to run the issue with a checklist immediately and then follow the schedule? Use the Run now feature for such a case. For example, you`ve scheduled a task Run Now feature serves the purpose of instantly executing the checklist creation process for urgent situations, bypassing the need to wait for the next scheduled occurrence. In scenarios where you require immediate checklist creation for an issue, followed by the regularly scheduled occurrences, simply utilize the "Run now" functionality.

The feature Run now is out of reach (Run Now button is disabled) in case when the owner of the checklist selected a private project for that you didn’t have access. So you can’t Run now issues with a checklist in such projects. |
Instruction on how to run now issue creation with a checklist
For example, you've scheduled an issue with a checklist creation at 9 a.m. every 2 weeks on Monday. But now it`s it's a Wednesday and you need to create the task issue and save the initial scheduling. If so, follow the next steps
Create a checklist and choose the project to place the task with a checklist. Also set an assignee in this step. Choose Open the Issue Checklist Template and Report add-on. Create a new checklist or use an existing one.
Set a recurring, choose the project to place the task issue with a checklist, select the assignee and set up recurring. Set a schedule to get the same start day and time for this issue with a checklist.
The feature is out of reach in 2 cases (The run now button is disabled):

, and prefill issue fields. Save the changes and go to the Grid.
On the Grid press Run now button on your checklist line to create issues immediately but save the recurrence.

3. To manage important task creation, in case of vacation or absence of any users from your team, you can stop recurrence automatically and then resume it. To achieve this, on the main grid, click on Enable button and choose an appropriate variant of pause:

Also at any time you can turn off any of the rules above and activate the recurring process by clicking on the button
The feature Enable is available only for checklists with recurring.
If you need to skip the next instance because you will have it currently choose this setting in the Modal.
Once you confirm Run Now the system will immediately create an issue with the checklist.Also in case if you want to run now issue creation time by time without recurring, you can set recurring settings but disable them by toggle.
Also, you can monitor the status of the checklist instances for Jira issues with a detailed one-page report.
