If your company works with customers feedback or any type of queries then you could experienced the case that queries have long way from reporter to person who should provide the resolution.

It’s understandable if you utilize some 3rd party app or even email address to report the issues that customers or partners might have.

If you want customers queries to be reported directly to Jira and create an Issue in the right place, then follow the instruction below.

  1. Go to Project → Project Settings → Issues → Collectors
    An issue collector allows you to easily gather feedback on any website in the form of Jira issues, even from users who don't have Jira accounts.

  2. Click on “Add Issue Collector” button.

  3. Name it (e.g “Report a bug“) and set up all required fields.
    If you need some custom fields to be set but customer, choose “Custom” option in Triggers section. Then select the fields.

  4. After Saving fields configurations, your will be provided with html or javascript code that should be added to your website.

    All is done after code embed and tested.
    Now, all forms submissions will create the separate issue in the target Project and your responsibility is to provide the resolution and make your customers happy.
