Dynamic Content with Form Element Keys

You can dynamically include user responses by referencing form element keys within the "Customize Submission Message" setting. This enables you to craft contextually relevant messages based on the user's input. However, there are limitations:

  • This feature is not compatible with content elements, attachments, or consent checkboxes.

  • If the referenced element doesn’t exist or has not been filled out, the message will exclude the dynamic content.

  • For single or multi-choice elements with multiple selections, options are displayed as a comma-separated list.

Example

Your form has a form element "Name" with element key SLI-1 and a user inputs "John," you can configure the submission message as: "${SLI-1}, thanks for your form submission."
The user will see: "John, thanks for your form submission" upon submission.

Instruction on how to customize the theme

  1. Open the add-on and create a new form or use an existing one.

  2. Go to the Settings tab, click the Message after the form submission button, and write the preferred text, and refer to element input if needed.

  3. Then click the Share form button, and generate a public URL to the form. Copy and provide the URL directly to people who should fill and submit it. The view of the form that would see the recipient is provided on the gif below.
