Let’s consider a very common situation every business can be encountered by.

Challenge

  • You have many subordinates and a lot of work.

  • Your team works with Jira and each teammate has obligations to be completed by deadlines.
    Right? So you need to take control of all tasks, working processes, and keeping deadlines.

  • Each of your Jira issues is an important part of work, which should not be missed.
    So it’s necessary to monitor how long it takes to solve each issue.

That’s why you need to get a report showing the sum of status durations of an issue and its subtasks.

Solution

Issue Age data of Time in Status for Jira Cloud with the Total option can be used for this purpose.

You just need to:

  1. Open the Time in Status reporting page.

  2. Filter issue list by the filter you need.

  3. Choose date ranges (start and end dates).

  4. Select your business calendar if you have created any new ones.

5. That’s all!
Now in the Total column, you can monitor the total time the chosen issue has been staying in each status.
Also, you can extract a report and get ready imported data about total time in statuses in XLSX or CSV files.
