Choose an Average time report in your Time in Status for Jira Cloud add-on.
2. You’ll get such a table with data.
3. Point your mouse on any numeric data displayed on the screen to get a logic, that shows how the Average time is calculated.
That’s all!
The picture shows the logic of calculating the Average time.
We count the number of tasks that have been in a particular status (To-Do status in this case) (green line),
2. Then sum the time of these tasks (blue line). We take into account only those tasks that have been in the status.
3. Divide the total time by the number of tasks. (1/2)
This is how the calculation of each value on the grid is occurring.
