Prefill Jira and Custom fields
Prefill fields feature is the ability to populate specific information in issue fields automatically when creating new Steps (issues) in Jira from the Business Process Manager add-on.
Available fields for prefilling: Jira and Custom fields.
Fields will be displayed only if the selected issue type in the project contains those fields.
Unavailable fields for prefilling: Reporter, Start Date and other custom date and date&time pickers, User and Group pickers, Select list (cascading).
Guidelines for Prefill Fields:
All Jira and Custom fields within the Prefill field modal exhibit behavior consistent with Jira issues.
If the Jira issue allows the selection of values only from a list, the Prefill field modal mirrors this behavior for applicable fields such as Priority, Parent (epic), and other select list types fields.
If the Jira issue permits the entry of new text, the Prefill field modal likewise enables the input of text for fields like Description and other text types fields.
If the Jira issue allows both the selection of values from a list and the creation of new entries, the Prefill field modal supports the same functionality for fields like Labels and other Label types fields.
Exclusion: Sprint. Choose active or future sprints for automatization of adding issues to the sprint. The system treats the future sprint as the one closest to the start, functioning similarly to a currently utilized board and appearing in your issue.
The issue will be assigned to the first sprint in the board that aligns with the appropriate state. This could either be the first one created in the selected board (priority) or, in rare instances, the first one created in any other board within the selected project.
If choosing an active sprint and no such sprint exists in the selected project, the task will be created in the Backlog.
