Sharing Time in Status Reports to Internal Jira Users

The Time in Status app allows you to share reports with internal users. For example, you have created a report with specific settings and want to show it to a colleague. This saves much time because the other user does not need to re-configure columns, time periods, and other settings.

The Sharing button is located in the app header in the right corner.

How the “Share report” option works

If you've selected to display modifications, click the Share icon. The add-on will automatically create a link in the memory buffer for you.

Once the link to the generated report is prepared, you'll see a confirmation message in the form of a flag in the lower-left corner of the add-on.

You should share this URL with a colleague within your organization.

All they need to do is open their web browser and paste the generated link into the address bar. To paste the link, they can use the keyboard shortcut Ctrl+V on Windows or Command-V on a Mac.

You can confidently share a report you've saved in a preset (for more information, see Save & Load Presets of Frequently Used Reports). Sharing the data this way will not impact the preset itself; the report will be displayed as an unsaved preset for the person you've shared it with.
