Learn more about all the features of Time in Status for Jira Cloud application.

We've prepared this short video to walk you through the updates!


Configurations

Find installed Time in Status add-on below Jira settings menu and click it to open the add-on.

Click the gear in the upper right to open the configuration menu.

1. Manage work calendars

Click Work Calendars in the configuration menu to manage your work schedules for different teams.  

Go to Add New Calendar and create a new setting or edit, copy and delete existing ones.

Clicking Add New Calendar button allows you to choose working daystime zoneworking hoursbreaks holidays and add a name to each calendar.

The time spent on the issue in each status will be calculated according to the specific calendar you choose. 

2. Manage permissions

If your account has administrator rights, select Permissions in the configuration menu to manage the access for additional users who can update the reportswork schedule and manage permissions.

Generating report

1. Choose report 

Choose the report you want to generate (see the list of reports)

2. Filter data

When generating the reports, you can filter the data by: AssigneeFilter, LabelProjectReporterSprint, JQL or Epic.


3. Choose the calendar

Select a Calendar to generate the data. There you can choose a custom calendar you've added previously or a default 24/7.  

4. Column manager

In the Column manager, you can manage the Issue FieldsStatus Groups (also add new groups), User Groups and Statuses.

4. Chart reports

All reports are available as Grid and as Charts. There are three types of graphs available: PieBar and Area Charts.


5. Date ranges

Use the functionality of Date ranges to customize report timeframes.

       

6. Choose time format

The Format option lets you select the time format of status duration: DHM (Days, Hours, Minutes), HM (Hours, Minutes), h:m (hours:minutes), M (Minutes), Decimal Hours, Decimal Days or Decimal Weeks.

All reports are available to export and sharing.

Please note

To extract the data for analysis, please choose one of the Decimal time formats (Decimal Hours, Decimal Days or Decimal Weeks). It will enable you to perform calculations on the exported data and build charts.


7. Issue view panel

You can see both graphical and numerical data at the issue view panel. Just choose Time in status at the Activity menu at a single issue.

Here you can select one of the Report types and configure Metrics and Calendar options.
