Attachment revolutionizes the way you collect and manage files in your forms. Whether you're gathering information from customers, conducting surveys, or organizing internal processes, this form element empowers you to effortlessly receive and store relevant attachments directly within Jira issues with forms.

Here are the key benefits of the Attachment:

  • Simplified File Collection: Users can easily attach files to form submissions, such as documents, images, spreadsheets, or presentations, streamlining the process and ensuring all required information is in one place.

  • Streamlined Collaboration: Attachment facilitates collaboration by allowing users to attach files that provide additional context, supporting materials, or visual aids, leading to clearer and more comprehensive responses.

  • Improved Data Organization: By including Attachments, relevant files are kept organized alongside form submissions in the Jira issue, eliminating the need for manual transfers or external storage platforms, and making it easy to review, analyze, or share them as needed.

  • Versatile Applications: Attachments can be used in various scenarios, including job applications, customer feedback, project requirements, or creative assets, enhancing the versatility and completeness of your forms.

  • JSM integration: Attachments can be added to JSM tickets by introducing an additional form on the Customer portal to fill out.

The maximum allowed size for downloading attachments is 100 Mb.

Instruction on how to add an Attachment to the form

  1. Go to the Form Builder and use an existing Form Template or Create a New One.

  2. Add the Attachment. Add a Lable, Help text, and Related URL with detailed info about the Attachment and make it required if needed.

  3. Then you can add the form to the Customer Portal or a Jira issue automatically / manually or even share it with external users. So now when a user fills out the form, he will be able to attach files.
